Type: Succulent: perennial

Native range: Rocky, arid regions of central Mexico

Light: Bright light to full sun (at least 4–6 hours a day). If grown outdoors, protect from intense afternoon sun.

Water: Low water needs. Water thoroughly, then let the soil dry out completely before watering again. Reduce watering in winter.

Soil: Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Avoid heavy, water-retentive soils.

Temperature: Prefers 65–80°F (18–27°C). Not frost tolerant.

Mature size:

• - Height: 4–6 in (10–15 cm)
• - Spread: 6–8 in (15–20 cm)

Bloom time: Spring to summer, with pink to coral, bell-shaped flowers on tall stalks.

Care notes:

• - Gently remove dead lower leaves to prevent rot.
• - Rotate the plant regularly for even, compact growth.
• - Propagates easily from leaves and offsets.

Tip: Overwatering is the most common reason this plant fails. Let the soil dry out well between waterings.
